Paralegal (O ffice Based or Hybrid )

Full time, Utrecht

BCD Travel is looking to immediately hire a paralegal meeting the below specifications. The individual will be a member of BCD Travel’s Legal Department with day-to-day activities supervised under the direction of senior lawyers. The position is based in Utrecht.

As a Paralegal, you will

• Assist in-house attorneys in reviewing, drafting, and processing a wide variety of agreements
• Assist in Corporate (Housekeeping)
• Work on Know Your Client and UBO requests
• Work on specific Corporate Governance/Law projects and activities
• Manage and maintain files
• Conduct legal research
• Support the VP and Associate General Counsel EMEA with administrative tasks, including budget management and preparation of related reports
• Process and organize contract records in the company contract management tool
• Filing of corporate documents in the company’s corporate management tool
• Assist the legal team in providing accurate, relevant, and timely legal and business advice to internal teams including sales, program management, procurement, finance, supplier relations, operations and people & culture
• Assist the legal team in advising internal clients of potential legal risks and recommending strategy to manage and minimize risks from a legal point of view in close cooperation with the internal client

About you

• A Law graduate in Dutch law (HBO Law/HBO-Rechten/Bachelor Rechten)
• Experience as a paralegal in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, preferably within corporate governance
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Must be fluent in Dutch and English
• Must be a self-starter, a responsible and proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Good drafting skills
• Ability to interact directly with the company's senior leadership, proposing practical and creative solutions to complex issues
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, organizations and with a diverse group of colleagues at all levels
• Must have a good sense of humour and be a team-player who will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and collegial atmosphere
