About the Role:
Wiley’s Corporate Sales team, Health Sciences helps pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies grow, by providing them with digital content, reach and technology. The team is part of the Corporate Solutions unit, and our services include online advertising, sponsored publications, educational websites and webinars, all based on the reach and authority of Wiley's scientific journal portfolio and society network.

Based on a growing demand for global educational programs from both health care professionals and pharma sponsors, we are further expanding our health sciences solutions. To quickly respond to the changes in the market, we are forming a new multi[1]disciplinary business unit, which will dedicate its time, knowledge and skills solely on developing new business in the Independent Medical Education (IME) space.
A sales team consisting of 4 experienced Sr. Account Managers look after accounts in the US & EMEA. The target customers sit mainly in Pharma Medical Affairs. Products and services include digital events, educational knowledge hubs, CME and commercial supplements.
This role is recognized both internally and externally as a leading sales strategist and business expert in Independent Medical Education, with highly sophisticated understanding of customer needs and competitors' offerings. Develops the sales team and implements new approaches to the sales process. Plans and executes sales strategies for the company’s largest and most complex accounts, clients or markets.
How you will make an impact:
- Develop commercially viable solutions for Wiley’s top tier corporate customers, as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Identify new business opportunities within Wiley’s corporate customer network, including cross-selling and cross-marketing
- Develop value-driven content for dynamic proposals and new business opportunities.
- Manage internal editorial relationships and external KOL editorial board and/or society partnerships and affiliations
- Identify business trends and opportunities and ensure that Wiley solutions are optimally positioned to grow market share.
- Assist Account Managers on the development of their business plans and proposals and provide ongoing business development coaching.
What we look for:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent
- Must possess 5 years of Sales leadership experience, within Healthcare/pharma specific digital educational solutions
- Proven track record of success in sales management role
- Proven experience of the Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry and Independent Medical Education (IME) Environment
- Data driven, analytical and accountable
- Ability to successfully build alliances and influence key decision makers
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, presentation and computer skills.
